Oakland Public Conservatory of Music is a proud community partner and host site for the Oakland Symphony's MUSE Stringendo program, bringing violin instruction to beginning elementary string players right here in our building.

MUSE Stringendo is an after-school program offered through the Oakland Symphony's broader MUSE initiative, which serves thousands of Oakland youth each year across public schools and community sites.

The program is designed to engage young beginners through fun, weekly string instrument sessions that build enthusiasm, foundational technique, and a genuine love for music.

As a MUSE community site, OPC is able to extend this opportunity to young students in our community at no cost, regardless of their economic background — fully in line with our own commitment to access and equity in music education.
