Oakland Public Conservatory of Music is proud to present our groundbreaking music program designed exclusively for Girls and Gender-expansive Youth.

Enroll today to witness the incredible growth and empowerment that music can bring to Girls and Gender-expansive youth. All classes are designed to develop musicianship and technical skills for students with limited or no prior instrumental performance experience to have fun learning to play music with others through an array of classes that include Piano, Saxophone, Flute, Trumpet, Guitar, Drums, Bass, DJing, Jam Band, Vocal, Fundamentals of Music, and more.

Description of Levels: Beginner & Beyond Beginner

Beginner: 0 to 6 months of experience.

Beyond Beginner: Minimum of 1 year of playing experience and ability to read music.

Instruments are provided as needed.

Schedule:

• Piano: Wednesdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm (Beginning); 5:00pm - 6:00pm (Beyond Beginning)

• Trumpet: Thursdays 5:40pm - 6:40pm

• Flute: Friday from 4:00pm - 5:00pm

• Saxophone: Friday from 5:00pm - 6:00pm

• Guitar: Fridays 4:00pm - 5:00pm (Beginning); 5:00pm - 6:00pm (Beyond Beginning)

Program timeline: September 10, 2024 - May 22, 2025
*OPC follows the OUSD calendar & will be closed on the same observed holidays*

Registration fee: $25 (Non-refundable. Due at the time of registration) - Click here to pay.

If you are enrolling your child in multiple classes, you will only need to pay the registration fee once.

Tuition: $600 yearly (Suggested tuition price breaks down to $19.35 per week. Tuition will be due by the first week of class)

Instructions for completing online registration

• Select “Check out”.

• Complete additional required information and select “Purchase.” A confirmation email will be sent to the email you entered during registration.
